Coaching The Teacher Leader

Updated: Jun 21

How do you coach teacher leaders in both the technical skills of leading teams and the deeper stuff like shaping the teacher leader's mindset and dispositions?

This was a question a PD specialist who leads a teacher leadership program recently asked me.

I'm excited to announce that I'll be presenting on this topic at the ISTE/ASCD conference in San Antonio, TX on Monday, June 30th 1-2pm (CST).

If you are able to attend my session, "Coaching the Teacher Leader" (HBGCC-007B):

🔹 You'll learn a 6 step asset-based process for coaching teacher leaders.

🔹You'll leave with digital tools from my bestselling book, Intentional moves.

🔹We'll watch edited video from a series of real transformational coaching sessions and engage in thought-provoking prompts that will influence your coaching conversations.

🔹You'll see how I coach a teacher leader through a real dilemma - How to empower a withdrawn teacher who is experiencing difficult circumstances.

🔹 You'll see how I coach the teacher leader to learn both:

  • Technical moves to find entry points to engage a withdrawn teacher in meetings

  • And see her experience a big realization that transforms her leadership mindset about what it means to lead.

While you are at the conference, come to my other presentation:

Group Trust: Fostering Psychological Safety on Teacher Teams.

Monday, June 30. 10:30 - 11:30 (CST) HBGCC - 007A

If you are not attending the conference…
